Kirsten Carthew - Writer
Kirsten Carthew is an award winning media maker. She was the 2003 Kodak Image Award Winner for Women in Film and Video Vancouver for her explosive experimental short Taken. Recently, she has emerged as a talented writer (Praxis 2004, Canadian Film Centre 2004) and producer (NSI Zed Drama Prize, BravoFact), who has worked in journalism (radio, tv) and the film industry in Canada and the US.
Kirsten met Anneli at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, where she crewed camera for one of Anneli’s earliest short films! Most recently, Anneli produced the short romantic comedy “Date Me” written by Kirsten and directed by Renuka Jeyapalan.
Anneli and Kirsten are currently collaborating on a feature film project.
