What if we had a little competition?

When nine-year-old Josephine meets her mother's new boyfriend, Gerry, she immediately wants him out of the picture and agrees to enter into a playful competition with him over her Mom. But as the competition progresses, their friendship develops and Josephine realizes that sometimes letting people in can lead to wonderful things.
